What They Wanted
The couple came to us for a wedding DJ at Zest Waterfront Venues, The Spit, a big winter celebration on Sydney's waterfront for around 270 guests. A room that size needs sound and energy to match, and they also wanted a dry-ice first dance for that dancing-on-the-clouds moment in front of everyone they love.
How We Planned It
Before the night, your dedicated event manager gets to work. We talked through the run sheet and the moments that mattered; mapped the key formalities, grand entrance, first dance and speeches; timed the dry-ice cue to the second; and liaised with Zest Waterfront Venues, The Spit on bump-in, power and finish times. The right DJ for a room of 270 was assigned from our 75-strong team, and every detail was confirmed in the days beforehand.
What We Delivered
Come event day, we rolled in with the full rig, PA, lighting, wireless microphones and backup gear, loaded in and sound-checked well before anyone walked in. Our DJ took the room's lead, reading a crowd of around 270 and shaping the set as the winter night built. The dry-ice first dance landed exactly as they'd pictured it, low cloud rolling across the floor at just the right moment.
