Sydney inclusive wedding at St Joseph's Guesthouse
A real Star DJ Hire booking: what the client wanted, and how we made it happen.
What They Wanted
The couple wanted a warm, inclusive spring wedding for a small group of around 40 at St Joseph's Guesthouse in Sydney, a long, relaxed day where the music moved easily from background to dancefloor and everyone in the room felt part of it. With numbers that intimate, the DJ matters more, not less, so they wanted someone who could hold the mood without ever dominating it.
How We Planned It
Their dedicated event manager talked through the whole day, from arrival to the last dance, and built a run sheet around the moments that mattered. We agreed an easy-going, broad brief, house through to a genuine mix of everything, captured their must-play and do-not-play preferences, and liaised with St Joseph's Guesthouse on bump-in, power and finish times. Then we matched a DJ who's brilliant at reading an intimate room and confirmed every detail in the week of the wedding.
What We Delivered
We set up our full package, sound, lighting, wireless microphones and backup gear, everything checked before guests arrived, and ran an extended set so the celebration never had to stop early. Our DJ eased from mellow house over dinner into a genuine mix of everything, keeping a small, tight-knit group of around 40 on their feet all night with an inclusive, feel-good floor. It's exactly the kind of considered, personal wedding we love to be trusted with.
