A real Star DJ Hire booking: what the client wanted, and how we made it happen.
What They Wanted
IFCBAA booked Star DJ Hire for their gala dinner at Double Tree by Hilton Perth, around 60 guests across a winter evening. Musically they kept it open, a mix of everything, wanting a DJ who could sit elegantly behind dinner and then bring the room to life once the plates were cleared.
How We Planned It
This is where our planning process kicks in. Their dedicated event manager talked through the run sheet and the moments that mattered; shaped the arc of the night from dinner sets through to dancing; and liaised with Double Tree by Hilton Perth on bump-in, power and finish times. We matched the right DJ to the brief from our 75-strong team and locked everything in during the week of the event.
What We Delivered
On the night, we delivered our full DJ package, sound, lighting, wireless microphones and decks, set up and sound-checked before guests arrived, backup gear included as standard. Our DJ threaded a mix of everything into one seamless set, keeping dinner refined and lifting the tempo as the tables emptied. With around 60 guests in the room, the dancefloor filled early and stayed full for a proper gala finish.
