A real Star DJ Hire booking: what the client wanted, and how we made it happen.
What They Wanted
The company needed a corporate DJ at a corporate function venue in Sydney for around 220 guests on a spring evening. Musically the brief was a mix of everything, which meant an open-format DJ who could read a professional crowd rather than lean on one genre all night.
How We Planned It
Every booking gets its own event manager, and this one was no exception. We talked through the run sheet and the moments that mattered; planned the setup, power, AV and finish times with the venue; and noted the songs that had to feature and the ones that didn't. Then we matched the DJ best suited to the room from our 75-strong team and confirmed the run of the night well in advance.
What We Delivered
We arrived early and set up everything we bring as standard: full sound, lighting, wireless microphones and backup gear, all sound-checked before doors opened. Our DJ worked a mix of everything into one seamless set, watching the room and shifting gears as the energy built. With around 220 guests in the room, the dancefloor filled early and stayed full until the finish.
