What They Wanted
The company booked Star DJ Hire for a winter corporate night at the Canberra Rex Hotel, with around 75 guests expected. Musically they leaned 70s/80s, 90s/00s and current hits, with licence to fold in a mix of everything once the floor warmed up.
How We Planned It
Before the night, your dedicated event manager gets to work. We shaped the run sheet around the moments that mattered, noted the must-play and do-not-play requests, and liaised with the Canberra Rex Hotel on bump-in, power and finish times. Then we matched the open-format DJ best suited to a corporate winter crowd and confirmed the run of the night well in advance.
What We Delivered
On the night, we delivered our full DJ package, sound, lighting, wireless microphones, decks and backup gear, set up and sound-checked before guests arrived. Our DJ mixed 70s/80s, 90s/00s, current hits and a mix of everything into one seamless set that gave every table something to move to. Travel and logistics to the venue were handled by our team end to end, and with around 75 guests in the room the dancefloor filled early and stayed full to the last song.
