What They Wanted
For their end-of-year party at The Westin Brisbane, Commonwealth Bank wanted a DJ who understood a professional room for just over 300 guests across a summer evening. Musically they kept the brief open, a mix of everything, and trusted us to keep it inclusive and brand-safe for a big staff crowd.
How We Planned It
Every booking gets its own event manager, and this one was no exception. We talked through the run sheet and the moments that mattered; walked through what belonged on the must-play list and what stayed off it; and liaised with The Westin Brisbane on bump-in, power and finish times. Then we matched an open-format DJ best suited to the room and confirmed the run of the night well in advance.
What We Delivered
We arrived early and set up everything we bring as standard: full sound, lighting, wireless microphones and backup gear, all sound-checked before doors. Our DJ moved across genres freely, following the crowd rather than a script, and building the room from dinner into party mode. With just over 300 guests at The Westin Brisbane, the dancefloor filled early and stayed full to the end of the night.
