One of the most important tips we can give is to decide on the style you want. There are a bunch to choose from including portraiture, documentary, and fine art. Make sure you complete some research before settling on your decision. After this, it’s time to pick someone that fits your criteria. The next step is to set up interviews with photographers that match what you’re after, requesting for full wedding photo albums. Once you’re set on someone, remember to confirm the shooters for the day and request an agenda from start to finish.
When the formalities are out of the way and it’s time to head to the dance floor, an experienced photographer really shines. You won’t notice this, or at least you shouldn’t (if you hire the right team you’ll have nothing to worry about!), but the photographers will work closely with the MC and DJ from the moment they arrive.
They’ll generally set up and leave their equipment near the DJ, and even set up to record sound via the DJ decks if a videographer is booked.
